Glenn van Zutphen (He/Him) is a career international journalist, radio host, and Founder of VanMedia Group Pte Ltd, a worldwide media consultancy.  He has coached over 2500 high-performing business leaders, journalists, government officials around the world  to be confident, credible, and clear in their spoken & written communication across all platforms. Glenn is a recognized communications expert, keynote speaker, and meeting facilitator.  He also hosts the “Saturday Mornings” radio show every week on MoneyFM 89.3, Singapore’s most trusted business news station.

 

For more than 25 years Glenn worked as a professional journalist in  print, radio, television and  online news based in the US Japan, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore.  His work has appeared in countless print and broadcast media outlets.As both the Regional News Editor for CNBC Asia/Pacific in Singapore, and Anchor and Producer at CNN International, he covered stories ranging from the Balkan War, Millennium celebrations, the War Against Terror, and Hong Kong's 1997 Handover among many others. An active writer, he co-authored  the business marketing book: Happy Customers Everywhere, as well as The American Journey in Singapore and has contributed to six editions of Living in Singapore Reference  Guide.

 

Outside of work, Glenn currently volunteers on the Board of Governors at the American Chamber of Commerce Singapore, the East-West Center Association Board (Hawaii), and Asian American Journalist Association-Asia Board. He holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Media Management from Teesside University (UK) & Hyper Island Singapore, and BA from the University of Southern California. Glenn and his family have been Singapore Permanent Residents since 2005.

Glenn also gives keynote speeches about Communication in the 21st Century.

MELINDA MURPHY

Melinda Murphy (She/Her) has a storied career as a multi-faceted, award-winning American television journalist with vast experience in a wide variety of genres. She has worked in many capacities in television with titles such as executive producer, writer, editor and on-air network television correspondent.

 

In Singapore with her family for over a decade, Melinda’s work at Expat Living magazine earned her the prestigious Journalist/Writer of the Year Awards from the Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore (MPAS). Melinda’s network television career earned three EMMY awards including recognition for her work as a New York City reporter on 9/11. She leverages her personable style and thousands of news interviews with people from all walks of life (Including top level executives and government officials) into effective and impactful training. She knows exactly how to prep high-performing communicators because she knows exactly the type of questions that journalists will ask.

 

Melinda volunteers as the Master Global Facilitator with the Girls Scouts of America and is the General Manager of the American Association of Singapore. She is an alumna of Texas A&M University's School of Journalism.

Teresa Siu

Teressa (She/Her) is an award-winning TV journalist and a seasoned media consultant with substantial international experience in consulting and training clients on media relations, crisis communications, public speaking, presentation skills. 

 

Her specialty is premium English and bilingual services and is well known for her hands-on, interactive and lively approach as a field reporter and anchor. She has advised and trained thousands of professionals and executives of listed companies, governments and academic institutions.  Teressa also serves as adjunct lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, IVE and HKUSPACE and the Upper Iowa University (HK Campus) and City University where she taught numerous communications, Journalism, PR and media courses.

Her roots as a media consultant stem from her vocation as a broadcast journalist - first for American television, then Hong Kong and China.  She most recently worked for CCTV English News International as Special Health Correspondent and Senior News Correspondent. 

 

While working as reporter and anchor for TVB Pearl, Teressa covered local, regional and international news. Her local reporting experience included the 1997 Hong Kong Handover, the 1997 Bird Flu Crisis, round-the-clock live coverage of Typhoon York and Macau’s Handover to China
